Reporting on The Times: The New York Times and the Holocaust is a short documentary that explores why and how the New York Times buried reports of the Holocaust during World War II. This informative and well directed film was inspired by Laurel Leff's award-winning book Buried by The Times. It explores the power of the press through interviews with both Holocaust survivors and historians as well as New York Times journalists.
The documentary short was created by student filmmaker Emily Harrold. Harrold is a graduate of New York University, where she majored in Film Production and US History. Her film has been screened at countless film festivals, including the Nashville Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Jewish International Film Festival.
