Since launching in the spring of 2014, the Film Festival Collective has grown to include hundreds of films from thirteen festival partners. To celebrate the program's success and to provide a special benefit to participating filmmakers, we are pleased to announce the first annual Film Festival Collective Awards.
This winter, nominees will be declared and awards will be given to films in the categories of Best Narrative Short Film, Best Documentary Short Film, Best Animated Short Film and Audience Award. The nominees will be chosen from among the films that have been available on the Film Festival Collective On Demand channel since it launched.
A shortlist of five films will be chosen in each category and then reviewed by a panel of programmers from FFC’s partner festivals. One winner will be chosen in each category. The Audience Award will be given to the film that received the most views in a single month.
The nominated films will be announced in January 2016 and made available for viewers to watch On Demand throughout the month. Winners will be announced in early February 2016.
