Back in June, Film Festival Collective launched with the participation of four festivals across the Southeast—Atlanta Film Festival, Charleston International Film Festival, Indie Memphis Film Festival and Nashville Film Festival. Now, we are excited to announce the addition of two new festivals—Indie Grits in Columbia, South Carolina and the Knoxville Film Festival in Tennessee!
Indie Grits was launched in 2007 and combines the best of film, music, theater and food into one awesome festival in downtown Columbia. The main venue of Indie Grits is the city's only non-profit, art house theater, The Nickelodeon—a.k.a. "The Nick."
Eastern Tennessee's Knoxville Film Festival is only two years old, but has a rich background stemming from the Secret City Film Festival and Dogwood Arts. Already the area's largest film festival, the event takes place over four days in September.
Films from these two festivals will hit your television screens soon. As if these six incredible festivals weren't enough, more of the South's premiere film festivals will be announced in the coming weeks!
